What must I bring with me when I collect the vehicle?
When collecting your vehicle you must bring the following documentation:
• Your valid UK driving licence. Please note that if you have a photo card driving licence you must also bring the paper counterpart.
• You must also provide a second form of identification showing the drivers name and address. This may be a utility bill or bank statement that is no more than 3 months old.
• Your vaild credit or debit card.
What is the minimum age for rental?
• You must be at least 21 years of age to hire a vehicle, with exception of minibuses where the minimum age is 25. Drivers under the age of 23 may attract a young drivers insurance premium, please call us for details.
Are there any other conditions for hire?
• You must have held your full UK licence for a minimum of 2 years and have had no accidents, insurance claims or insurance losses. Your licence must also be endorsement free.
• If you have had any accidents, insurance claims or insurance losses or your licence is not endorsement free, we may still be able to hire to you, an additional insurance premium may appy, please call us for details.
Can I hire a minibus?
• You must be aged over 25 to hire a minibus. You must also have category D1 on your licence. This category will have been issued on your driving licence if you passed your driving test before 01.01.1997 and have not had your licence renewed. If you are unsure please visit the dvla website or call us.
What does your price include?
• The advertised price includes VAT at the current rate and insurance. Online prices are for guidance and may vary due to seasonal peaks. Your price will be guaranteed when you make a confirmed booking.
Am I liable for costs if I have an accident or the vehicle gets damaged?
• An insurance policy is included in the price of your rental, although as with any insurance policy a standard excess applies.
• You can opt to accept a reduced excess on your hire by taking out our Collision Damage Waiver, which is available to purchase at the time of hire. Prices start from £4.50 per day. The Collision Damage Wavier reduces your excess in the event of a non-fault accident with a third party vehicle. In the event of you having a fault accident with a third party vehicle or a non vehicular accident eg. reversing into a lamp post the standard excess still applies.
• If any traffic offence has been committed, your insurance will be invalidated.
Can I cancel my booking?
• During peak periods we need a minimum of 24 hours notice of cancellation otherwise a fee may be payable. We will always be happy to transfer your booking to another suitable date and time.
